In 1995 Glasner and Weiss showed that if a homeomorphism on a compact metrizable space X has zero entropy, then so does the induced homeomorphism on the space of Borel probability measures on X. I will discuss a strengthening of the Glasner-Weiss result, in the framework of local entropy theory, based on a new combinatorial lemma. I will also present an application of the combinatorial lemma to asymptotic geometric analysis. This is joint work with Kairan Liu.

李寒峰,美国纽约州立大学水牛城分校教授,AMS Fellow。长期从事泛函分析、算子代数、非交换几何、动力系统和数论的研究。他在包括国际顶尖数学刊物Annals of Mathematics、 Journal of American Mathematical Society、Acta Mathematica、Inventiones Mathematicae 在内的著名学术期刊上发表多篇学术论文。
